Curaçao’s beautiful beaches are among the island’s finest features, but it also offers a number of other must-dos. Want a change from lounging on the beach? There are plenty of great diving spots on Curaçao, but the other options below allow you to get out and about on Curaçao while staying nice and active.
ATV riding
Enjoy an exciting ATV excursion across Curaçao. Off-road riding and exploring the wild nature of eastern Curaçao requires no prior knowledge or training. The best views and great photo opportunities can be found far away from the crowds, so venture off the beaten path. See the Aloe Vera Farm, the local ostrich farm, Playa Kanoa Beach and a cave that even much of the locals don’t know about. Learn the ins and outs of driving an ATV and get instruction on handling different types of terrain. It is an unforgettable way to explore Curaçao’s rough roads.
Baby carriage tours
One of the best things to do on Curaçao is to visit the Bandabou district (western part of the Caribbean island). A baby carriage tour combines off-road driving with treks to spectacular viewpoints, where you can take in Curaçao’s geology. Curacao Safari

The strong waves not only create water spectacles in these natural attractions, such as Boka Pistol (the natural water cannon) and Boka Tabla (a cave not to be missed when visiting Curaçao), but also the distinctive thunder that locals call the Breath of Curaçao. Curacao locobus Irie Tours
A trip on Irie Tours’ loco bus is a very fun experience that you really shouldn’t miss. You can travel around the entire island with friends in this windowless and vibrantly colored bus. The bus is available for reservations at your convenience. You can take the bus to see all kinds of cozy spots of the city. In addition, the bus plays the music of your choice and drives so slowly that you can even dance in it. The local bus driver will then drop you off at the designated café or nightclub so that the festivities can continue. You must provide your own drinks and food. Also remember trash bags to leave the bus tidy again. If you want to explore the island by yourself you can use a Curacao rental car company.
London Bus
Join a real London Bus to various points on the Banda Ariba side of the island. This is the only London bus on Curaçao and features air-conditioning on the second floor and an open upper deck for sightseeing. You will pass country house Chobolobo, Rif Fort, Queen Juliana Bridge, Queen Emma Pontoon Bridge, Scharloo, Punda and Mambo Beach Boulevard before being dropped back at the starting point. Go wild on the ground floor with dancing and partying during your ride. They recommend a minimum of 30 and a maximum of 55 people for this excursion. If fewer than 30 people sign up for a trip, they will communicate with them via email at least 30 hours before departure to go over details.
Horseback riding
Riding the countryside of Curaçao is an adventurous and fun way to get to know the beautiful island. The advantage is that you can get far in one day and reach areas inaccessible to vehicles such as jeeps. Curaçao has two riding stables where you can take an outdoor ride while taking in the natural beauty and beautiful views of the rugged landscape with your horse.
Rancho Alegre is the best regarded equestrian center in Curaçao. See the outdoors while riding South American horses in a small group with an expert guide on one of Rancho Alegre’s spectacular horseback riding experiences. Manege “Société Hippique Curaçao,” or “SHC,” is another outdoor riding school on the beautiful island. The Gnome Forest is across the street from the equestrian center and has a beautiful equestrian trail through the forest to discover beautiful places.
Climbing
In recent years, Curaçao has become a top spot in the Caribbean for sport climbers (mountaineers). The island is home to many limestone cliffs and cliffs. In Curaçao, you don’t have to walk far to get to the climbing spots; the sites are easily accessible by car. There are several “hooked” climbing spots, meaning the routes are laid out with climbing hooks. Fort Beekenburg, Roi Ricon and the Piscadera Area are some of the most famous climbing destinations on the island that are definitely worth a visit.
